Apperture is with double-p
I am of course not ultimately sure, but that's how it reads in my english handbook of my microscope.

Hi Hell,
I've just looked it up in the Oxford English Dictionary and it's spelt with a single 'p'...

Hmmm...
Seems to be OK. I've checked with lens manufacturers in the UK (to make sure they speak the language). They inconsistently use both spellings.
So, if it's aperture in the dictionary. So be it.
