The Apprentice-Mage's chambers

As you enter the room you notice several broken test tubes and beakers sitting on large dirty tables, along with numerous half eaten sandwiches. You notice what looks like steam billowing from the gap under the door to your left. A large, black, fluffy Cat bounds out the door to your right. On the far side of the room, The apprentice-mage sits with his back to you, facing the fire. "Welcome!" says he, and promptly stands to face you. To your surprise he is a young man, probably still a teenager. "Help yourself to a sandwich!", He exclaims.
