County town phenomenon. To really make a dollar last we would get bags of mixed lollies. The 1 and 2 cent lollies would be carefully sorted, the 5c lollies, even one or two of the insanely expensive sherbert bombs, which were 10c. So there would be an assortment that would fit into a small paper bag and many individual lollies to pick up and put in your moth, much more rewarding than a chocolate bar or something.......
