Thanks. It's fairly dry, because I seem incapable of writing any other way, but if it's clear that's the main thing.

I doubt anyone else could have written it, let alone with a degree of dampness required for it not to be a bit dry. smiley - smiley

Good work TRiG (and Mal); just a quick note to say that we've temporarily shortened the title of the Entry so that it fits on the BBC Homepage widget. We can restore it in 24hrs. Just holler in Ed Feedback if we forget! smiley - ok

Ah yes. What fun! Best put the subtitle "Bringing the World to the Web" back as soon as possible, though. It's the only non-dry thing about the piece.

What a wonderful entry Trig.

And thank you for explaining all the various terms which I type in without thinking about them. !!

I shall not be bothering about all the other wonderful other means of understanding all the emails from the Far East.

And dear Malabista, you a re a very "clevaire" person

Now I must go back to my exercises for the brain - which are working I believe.

Again thank you so much.

Christiane.

Glad you enjoyed it, Christiane. Geeky stuff is probably not your usual provenance, but it's good to exercise the brain from time to time, isn't it?

Thank you Trig!! it certainly is, and at my age vital!! I am doing special brain exercises which apparently were on the site about two years ago. I think they are working. Certainly I am remembering items which I had forgotten I had ever known or learnt.!!
Regards

Christiane.

Hi Trig,
It is IMPERATIVE to try and exercise our brains continually the older we get. !!
I have thought long and hard about it, and I am nearly convinced that one can restore quite a lot of damage caused to the brain by means of exercises because the brain is hot made out of the same "material" as muscles are. Therefore I think that it is maybe possible to restore any stroke damage to the brain by means of exdrcise which restore the circulation which might have been damaged by the stroke.
It is a reasonable prop0osition but if you think that any doctor looks at me with anythinhg else but disdain when I suggest it you are very mistaken.!!
So I shut up and continue "tranquilizing" my errant sheep and feel better as my memory improves and I remember more and more. !1

This morning I had a visit from the clergy and Father said to me,

"But you are so much better".

Well I was very pleased but did not tell him about my sheep tranquillizing.

It would be marvellous if they could devise brain exzercises for those unfortunate people who have schizophrenia. How wonderful that would be.

Go well,

Christiane

I'd heard of that bug, Alex, but I didn't know a fix was coming. It'll be a massive amount of work.

Hi AlsoRan.

The mind is a fascinating thing; the neuroscientists are beginning to understand it, but there's an awful lot yet to learn. Good on you for keeping going!

My granddad is visiting Ireland at the moment, staying with my parents. He's in his late 80s now. I've had a few good chats with him.
