I'm just wondering, but I've checked with friends who remember the show. I think Trevor's full name was Trevor Noseworthy III, not IV. I believe this quite strongly, in fact, because we used to make fun of him by calling him Trevor Noseworthy the Turd. Anyway.

Just for any doubting Thomas's, I've checked.
In 'A Race Against Disaster' upon hearing that only 5 people can attend a special racing event Trevor declares that he, Trevor Noseworthy IV, will not be denied a place... even if he has to cheat to get it.
Possibly the old nickname was Trevor the Fork?

Perhaps we were talking about his father. Anyway, I can't find any evidence either way.
