Afraid of Rodeo Nights?

You're a very intelligent man/woman/sentient human life form! Although even when it's full of drunken cadets from the Law Enforcement Academy, I'd still rather take my chances there than driving on Cerrillos Road!

Which makes me wonder...how many non-New Mexicans actually have a clue of how to pronounce that, anyway???

overheard on a Santa Fe Trails Bus: "...Rodeo Nights... that's where all the cops go!"

nuff said, right?

And I've learned a lot of what I know about Santa Fe geography by finding ways to avoid Suh-ree-ows Road.

I'm always happy to find other researchers who know about City Different! A la verga, bro! (Moderator, I believe the preceding phrase is just untranslatable - sorry!)

Yup, that's pretty well untranslatable! smiley - smiley

I live down between Deming and Silver City now, but had to do my Academy training up there back in '92. Fortunately, even though my Agency is based out of S.F., I don't have to go there often. Our conferences are mostly held in Albuquerque, which although much bigger is easier for me to navigate in. I do miss my occasional Tomasita's fix, though, with GREEN, thank you very much!

Buena suerte en la Ciudad Differente!
(Don't panic, folks: that just means good luck in the City Different!)
