I just spilled candle wax on an expensive satin corset (I swear, it's not like it sounds!) and I made the mistake of trying to scratch it out, and now it looks worse. It says on the tag to not use a hot iron on it, so I'm not sure how to get rid of it. Can anyone help?

You want to get rid of the wax, but you have already scratched it...
Hmmmm. Melting it with vapour and sucking the molten wax up with a tissue could be used to remove the wax coarsely.
An alternative would be to freeze the wax (with dry-ice), making the wax a lot more brittle, then scratch some more and vacuum it up...
I don't know how the satin will look like after this treatment, though.
