The Guide will require some standard for formatting of mathematical symbols. The W3C spec for HTML4 states that the Symbol font should be so used as the formatter.
TtH
To this end I propose that TeX to HTML be used as the translator. It will take in a TeX or LaTeX document and format it as HTML, using the symbol font for the equations where required. A sample is below.
"a, b, c ÎG, a·(b·c) = (a·b)·c |
|
"a ÎG$e ÎG: a·e = e·a = a |
|
"a ÎG$a¢ÎG: a·a¢ = a¢·a = e |
|
$$\forall a, b \in \mathbf{G}, a\bullet b = c, c \in \mathbf{G}$$
$$\forall a, b, c \in \mathbf{G}, a\bullet (b\bullet c) = (a\bullet b)\bullet c$$
$$\forall a \in \mathbf{G} \exists e \in \mathbf{G}: a\bullet e = e\bullet a = a$$
$$\forall a \in \mathbf{G} \exists a' \in \mathbf{G}: a\bullet a' = a'\bullet a = e$$
