Dogs and escalators on the Tube
a visitor to planet earth Started conversation Apr 6, 2003
One hot day in summer a group of us had been to Brighton for the day with a German Shepherd dog. Coming back thro London we were advised to carry the dog on the escalator. So I carried the rear end, away from its teeth (didnt want to get bitten). But the dog was nervous and rewarded me by urinating over my shorts.

Dogs aren't allowed to walk on escalators in case their claws get stuck.

I thought the sign meant it was compulsory to carry a dog if you were going to use the escalator. That explains why I always seemed to be the only one running around at night hoping to run into a blind person just to get out.
