A Conversation for The London Underground
Buskers
David Brider Started conversation Nov 19, 2002
There was one at Tottenham Court Road who used to *always* without fail position himself under the sign that says "Busking is not permitted at this station".
David.
Buskers
jimbo the inadequate musician Posted Dec 30, 2002
There is a busker known by some as "the banshee woman" who may be seen and, more appropriately heard, at Oxford Circus on occasion. She plays a guitar and sings loudly, and almost unhumanly screechily, scant regard for the aural sensitivities of those who pass. Small children have been known to hold tightly to their parents legs, much like when a tube nutter looks at them.
She always has at least one copy of a CD at her feet. It is presumed that she recorded it, but nobody I know has dared get close enough to inspect, much less purchase it.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
