Overall Judgement of Xbox 360
The imminent arival of the first console of the next generation consoles its not surprising this has the most confirmed games on it witch currently make this an attractive console but other have more time to get a decent launch line up out and time will tell. As far as technicle specks go the Xbox 360 is the less powerful machine and the asrchitecture is closer to that of a PC than a games platform and it isnt utilised as well in games as the PS3. The Xbox 360 However will be a lot easy to incorporate into to a wirless home and if you already have a microsoft home network witch you use for media devices you cant go far wrong, especialy if you have a wireless network and a windows XP media centre Machine in use. The inclussion of 802.11a will mean it connects to more networks but since most people use b and g standards this is not a major point. more of a console-Media centre Hybrid than a pure console. I still like it despite my hatrid of MS as a PC software maker And after a few plays this is a decent upgrade to the finest of the last generation.

Overall Judgement of Playstion3
This consle is fast - really fast and with rumors of a linux os comming on a 60Gb HDD version all the more reason to love it. However not all is well. Its relese date has been pushed to november and rumors that it wil cost in exess of £400 are daunting. Ans although many games that look perfectly good are comming out non have yet convinced me. This console for me has the worst herritage the PS1+2 were overated underpowerd consoles with so many bad games you couldnt see the good. at least the power is sorted. The use of Blu ray as the HD DVD format is a bit risky as it looks to be going the way of betamax.
Nintendo Revolution - Now the WII
basic overview of WII
Nintendo have been keeping quite aboutthere new console. With a relese date of late Q4 2006 and we still dont have a full tech readout. The We know proper dev kits will be out any day to most developers but many are still using a Gamecube/PC hybrids with freehand Mod. New Games are being annouced. Including a Metroid game, and a new game called red steal all of wich is looking real good. The biggest News though is that the WII will be released on the same day as Twilight princess with its own version of the long awaited Zelda game with suppirior graphics and the ability to use the controller as a sword.
- What it looks like (and it does look good)
- Its size (about 3 DVD cases stuck tyogether)
- It will have a full sized disk tray
- A new laser will be instalable though a front access port
- It will play GC games and will have a GC front panel under the top side.
- It will have access to the internet including a catolouge of NES SNES and N64 games avalible to download and now a back catolouge of Megadrive and PC engine games as well
- It will have large amounts of WIFI technology (just like the other 2 then)and will act as a DS WIFI access point
- Anew Super Smash Bros game is being worked on - it includes solid snake.
- It will be cheaper than the other two at £150-£200 in the UK
Freehand Controller
.It has advaced motion sensitivity and no analouge stick on the main unit (although an add on Nuchuck-Nipple bit gives this and two trigers. It looks a lot like a DVD remote with a D-pad and less buttons but by all acounts its the most natural controll ever. Ninty really pulled it out the bag this time.
Perhaps the most exciting thing is the use of advanced 3d motion sensitivity so you can use the controller as a sword or a lightgun. It seems to be a great idea that will be great for Zelda and Metroid so i think Nintendo got this call right.
Conclusion
With more infomation a few shots of a PS3 running and a play on the Xbox 360 Im well and truly welmed - there isnt a game annouced for the PS3 that im desprate to play and this has been the case on both previous sony consoles. Although I want to play Kameo and i will almost certainly waste a good deal of my life to Halo 3 the Xbox still isnt inspiring me. Its still just a box with a cotroller that you sit in front of it. The Wii is shaping upand i will almost certainly buy one. I am a ninty fan though so it will be worth it for me. Im not sure about everyone else if you want of whats been before but bigger the other two consoles are still great machines. For me though its price I wont be getting a new console till after xmas now so all the consoles will be out. However the Xbox will have fallen in price by then and will have a wide range of games on it, The Revolution is looking to be a cheap console and the PS3 a massive drain on peoples wallets. It looks perfectly feasable that you can buy both a Xbox360 and a Wii and come back with change for the money you spent on a PS3. So thats my opinon PS3 over priced get both the others for the same price.
