Didn't Graham Hancock also amaze and astound us with The Orion Mystery? It's amazing that he can keep discovering fantastic lost secrets from thousands of years ago! Or is it?
There may well be an actual event which inspired the mythology of Atlantis. One book, however, especially one published with an eye for popular sales, cannot by itself make a convincing case that this actual source has been found.
Unless there's a conspiracy by the Knights Templar, aliens from Sirius B, Freemasons and the European Union to keep the truth from us.

Hell yeah; not that a great deal of it was new to me. I read a great deal of cult archaeology and secret legacy stuff; not that I believe it. For the most part it's inherently flawed, and most of the rest relies on false evidence or outright lies and supposition.
Foucault's Pendulum is a wonderful book, because it so accurately sums up the whole genre.
