O.K. so what do you think about this one ?
I hereby submit this to the peer-review forum.
I would rather not go on about it myself, I just like it as it is...smiley - winkeye

An excellent discussion of Peter Gabriel. But why not just call the article "Peter Gabriel"? It would certainly fit on the title bar better...

And since you asked for peer review... There were several "it's" in the article that should be "its".

Thank you AG,

Q: Why is it not just called Peter Gabriel ?
A: Because this article was initially rejected by the towers because it did not contain any details about PG's life before he went solo.
And because it reads much more like an article(as in a biography or a newspaper-article). After all, it *is* a direct quote from 'The Lamb lies down on Broadway'.

As for the typo's : I will correct them. Thanks for the tip.

You seem to have amply added details about PG's life before going solo, so I wouldn't worry about another failure to live up to the title "Peter Gabriel".

And I've been to check out the Sub-Editor's Guide ('cause I wanna write entries too). They specifically advise against long and/or "jokey" titles, such as "Bass (Guitars, Not Fish)". Maybe you could call it "Peter Gabriel's Career".

Hi,

Well the reason for the scarce information about his Genesis-period is that I had already found an official entry on Genesis and I wanted to put a link to it in my article. Unfortunately, upon later inspection, it turned out to be completely useless, saying something to the effect of : "Genesis is the first book in the Bible. And Oh yeah, there's also a band by that name that refuses to die'...

Not much help that...so I intend to write the ultimate article on Genesis shortly, although that is a H*** of a lot of work.

As for the name of the article : I think that the Powers in the Towers are quite capable of renaming the piece, but I have no objection to changing it myself so I will do that shortly. Especially if it's against the wishes of the Towers.

Cya,

I have this in my latest SubEd batch, or at least a version of it. Do you want the one I have to go through, I was going to accept it anyhoo? Or do you want me to reject it and allow this one to finish the Peer Review way? As far as I can tell there is virtually no difference between the two Entries. Until later....
