Strangely the picture is of a soccer player.
GAA balls don't have that honeycomb structure but are instead made from strips of leather rather like very old soccer balls.

OK - if you leave it too long my exhaustive search for a GAA team that plays in green and white might have drawn a blank too

In fact, the player is quite clearly a Scouse of some kind.
