A Conversation for Handy Tips on Planning a Wedding
Wedding Planning Tactic

When I was getting married. I used the typical male method of Wedding planning. ie did nothing. Each time my future wife would say.
"Right lets make this Wedding Guest list then... " I'd point into the distance and say.
"Yeah sure... look over there isn't that..." I'd then walk very quickly in the direction I was pointing waving madly, and sweating profusely. Needless to say I'm in the process of a divorce at the moment. I think the biggest cause of divorce is probably Weddings... think about it. I'm sure you'll find it's an irrefuteable fact.

Well, it seems to me that you must not have been very interested in the whole marriage thing altogether. I don't think that the brides whose males follow the tactic described at the beginning of the article (man want woman etc.), are very happy planning the whole thing by themselves. Marriage -- and the wedding also -- always involves *two* people. If she does everything the way she likes and you don't bother to think of it, well, what would you expect? Divorce after the honeymoon? Or during it? Huh?
And by the way, I am a male too.

Oh, I was more into Marriage, then Weddings. Weddings are just for one day, Marriage is for life. At least that's what I believe. I just can't stand all the fuss.

My fiance and I are planning a wedding for this coming November, and I must say (rather proudly) that he is as involved in the planning as I am. However, I think there are a few extenuating circumstances involved here. We're both 30-ish, only children, and this is our first wedding. Our plans are for a very small (25 or less) ceremony, so what we're shooting for is a very intimate occasion in which we can be with our loved ones. Nothing flashy, and all the money we don't spend on the wedding can go towards the honeymoon! Now, if only there were a way to politely ask for honeymoon funds in lieu of gifts...

I didn't know that -- I'll be sure to ask about it, though. Thanks!
