why do i feel the poor child was illtreated and exploited and she was not an actor out of choice but forcibly pushed into it

I think this is true in some ways but not in others. She was ill-treated and exploited a little during work, but she also had a very comfortable life because of all the money she had earned. If you read her autobiography you'll see that although it could be said she never chose acting, she wasn't really pushed into it and she always seemed to enjoy it and not refuse. She stopped when she chose and isn't bitter about it.
