I'd heard bits and pieces of the story before but never the entire tale. Congrats on an excellent entry.

I agree. I'd never heard the story about Mincemeat, and now I suspect I'm far more knowledgeable than most. Hurrah!

Indeed; brilliant stuff.
But does the 'oth' in 'Sicily. oth Operation' mean anything ('oth' = '0th'?) or is it a typo that got through? (There seems to be a full stop on a line of its own as well.) Just so that I know whether I need to tell Ed. Feedback; it would be a shame for such a great Entry to have minor blemishes.

have u been watching UkTV history?
I saw a program a while ago about this, and your entry seems to follow this particular program.
Well done any way, well structured entry, very informative, if u haven't seen the program!

I'm pretty sure "oth" was a typo RJFS, I was also intially intrigued by the early comment that the German sphere of influence/conquered territory went as far west as Luxembourg. I imagine Charles de Gaulle amongst others would have been very relieved to hear that at the time
Minor minor quibbles.

Oh dear. Amazing entry, I really enjoyed it. but I'm supposed to be writing an essay! I shouldn't let this happen.
Congratulations! It was most intriguing and frankly distracting. Literally.
