A Conversation for Cannes, France
Driving along the coast
Flyboy Started conversation Feb 10, 2000
I was in Cannes in December, or rather we drove through it on our way to Monte Carlo. We decided to drive into Cannes and follow the coast from there through Nice, all those other smaller cities, and finally to Monte Carlo. Don't try it. The highway disappears into a bunch of unorganized streets in each city. Take the highway from Cannes directly to Monte Carlo, it'll take maybe an hour or so. If you take the coast you'll spend at least two hours getting there. The coastline is pretty, but I didn't think it was worth the trouble. However we did see some idiot in Nice do a block-long wheelie on his motorcycle, if we'd been on the other highway we'd never have seen it.
