Agnostics believe that you *can't* know whethere or not there is a god.
Some atheists, myself included, don't actively believe there isn't a god, but feel that, without a lot of evidence that doiesn't exist, the only reasonable assumption is that a god doesn't exist.

reasonable assumption - Agreed. This article was written while I was just beginning to explore atheism. I let some agnostics talk me into thinking it was a leap of faith. They have since been excommunicated.
