I thought I would write about something I have many years experience of, and hold diplomas for
This entry can either be seen as a completely new article, or an update of

Originally I searched on Composting - and the search engine came up with no results. So I went ahead and wrote this.
The previous entry is outdated, and contains some arguable points. I leave it to your esteemed selves as to which course is preferable. Update? or New Entry?
ps, no noses need to be held whilst reading the entry.

Looks good Lanza .
As you know, I gave some advice in the other thread.
A couple of ideas for extra links:
You MUST link to Farlander's Entry on 'Microbes-The Good The Do' at A1021221.
Also, please could you link 'greenhouse gases' to my Entry on 'Global Warming' at A197499

To be honest, it would have cleared most spell checks.
Materiel means: Equipment and supplies of a military force
I find a lot of my typos are created by thinking almost phonetically as I type... Silly lil! <blush

I ought to fathom a way to turn English spelling onto this machine. I just tend to ignore the red lines as they like favor and flavor, rather than additional 'u's we English writers have learned to love. Until you pointed it out I hadn't realised what an enormous amount of times I had written 'material' I suppose 'stuff' doesn't sound so grand does it?
*thinks of some suitable synonyms*

Hi,
A well-written and interesting entry. I noticed a new nitpicks.
"Materials are not broken down
This is the commonest finding - and it may be *because*:"
The 1st point gives a reason, the 2nd advice ("Keep adding ....") and the 3rd ("Add something to speed ...") is also advice.
Perhaps the lead-in sentence could be adjusted a little.
In the "To Add or Not to Add" section a few commas and fullstops seem to have disappeared.
Quite a few of the links don't seem to work (unless it's my PC).
A good ending !
Good luck with this entry

I have checked all the links - they seem ok?
I do hope I haven't missed any more commas?
I have decided that I think this entry should be an UPDATE of the previous Compost A246971. My reason being that there are any number of h2g2 entries linked to this original article, which is a humorous light hearted thing, but doesn't really give very helpful advice, and some of it is actually wrong, so I think the time has come to do a complete rewrite. Are there any dissenters?
I will add the original researcher's number to the author list.
I am going to add a paragraph about using two bins - as there seems to be a few comments on turning your compost heap which is really hard work and I usually don't bother.

' Are there any dissenters?'
Certainly no dissent from me; it's definitely the right thing to do . Just keep the author of the original Entry as a co-author

I've added one or two more sentences.

Any more for any more? Any dissenters?
Has anyone the time or inclination to proof read for spelling, typos or grammar please?
...on a lighter note I think I should add that hearing aids are not a recommended addition to a heap. We spent the better part of Monday morning looking for one, only to find it had somehow got scooped up and added to the kitchen scrap container. Luckily it was unharmed, and had only got covered by some leaves from the cut flowers
It this is now an update (?) what is the procedure please? I noticed Big Al's update has been dealt with.
