Introduction to tape
Hello. I am here to tell you about Tape. Tape has many definitions:
1. A strong, narrow, woven strip of cotton, linen, etc. used to bind seams in garments, tie bundles, etc.
2. a narrow strip or band of steel, paper, etc.
3. a strip of cloth stretched netween posts above the finishing line of a race
4. shortened form of various kinds of tape.
The above definitions are all nouns. Tape is also a verb:
5. To put tape on or around, as for binding, tying, etc,
6. To measure by using a tape measure
7. to record(sound, video material, computer data, etc.) on magnetic tape.
As you can see, Tape has lots of uses. The following is a listing of all the kninds of tape I have been able to discover. You see, I started looking when I was 12, while driving in the car with my Uncle. We started naming different kinds of tape. We wrote down the ones we had so far, and every time we see each other, we add to the list. what follows, is that list. If know of one, not on the list, please feel free to let me know.
