Super Easy Cheese Quesadias (Alana)
Type: Craving (or whole meal if you're lazy like me)
Prep: Quick
Tortilla flat bread (as many as desired)
butter or margarine
grated cheese (as much as you like)
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Coat both sides of each tortilla with a thin layer of butter or
marg.
3. Place each buttered tortilla in a single layer on a cookie
sheet or other large flat metal thing no need to butter (unless
you're seriously butter obsessed).
4. Sprinkle as much cheese as you like on each tortilla (the more
cheese you put the longer it'll take to cook).
5. Put those suckers in the oven until cheese is melty and tortilla's
look all air pocketty and wrinkled.
6. Remove from oven, cut into slices like you would a pizza and serve
alone or with a dipping sauce of your choice.
Notes: Recomended dipping sauce idea's: Salsa, Pizza sauce, Spagetti
sauce or anything tomato like but please God not ketchup,
what are you animals.
* Note if you have left over cooked taco filling it is also
really yummy if added below the cheese layer.

Dante's Infernal Potatoes (Nathan)
*(next time I come, well make these again and measure the quantities)*
Type: Craving/Feast - *maybe instead of Snack we could use Craving*
Prep: Ahead
1 bag of waxy potatoes (those are the thin skined ones)
3 Scotch Bonnet peppers
Xml Olive oil
Xml Hot Pepper Oil
Fresh parsley
Fresh rosemary
Indian chile powder
Flaked red chilies
Tobasco Sauce
Salt
Pepper
1. Wash Potatoes and cut into large chunks.
2. Place chunks in large saucepan and cover with water.
3. Parboil the potatos for 10 - 15 minutes.
4. While that boils, chop the peppers, rosemary and parsley; lightly
coat some cookie sheets with oil; and preheat the oven to 375 F.
5. Strain the potatoes and let them sit in a colander to let the
steam go off -- if they are too wet when the go into the pan,
they will stick.
6. In a large bowl combine the oil, pepper oil, peppers, and
Tobasco, as well as the rest of the spices.
7. Toss the potatoes in the oil. If you dont have a huge bowl -- do
this in stages, but be sure to conserve enough oil mixture.
8. Arange the potatoes in a single layer on the cookie sheets, and
roast them on the bottom rack until they are cooked through (not
hard in middle.
9. Taste one -- adjust seasoning if necessary have a glass of water
if neccesary, and place sheets on the top rack and broil them
until they look brown and yummy.
10. Smoke a bowl and enjoy, but make sure you have a drink!
Notes: You can add/substitute any other types of hotpeppers or
hotsauces -- go crazy, but don't be a hero -- remember that
sensation is *enhanced* when you are stoned. We don't want
any lawsuits.

Chocolate Covered Pretzles (suggested by Angela)
Type: Craving
Prep: Ahead
1 Bag of Pretzles
1 Block of semi-sweet chocolate
1. Set up a double boiler by placing a stainless steel bowl over a
pot of gently boiling water.
2. Break the chocolate into smallinsh chunks.
3. Melt the chocolate in the bowl, stiring and adding pieces of
chocolate until it is all melted.
4. Dip the pretzles one at a time into the chocolate and place on a
plate or tray covered with silicon/wax paper.
5. Let them cool and enjoy (unless you have ever watched Mallrats,
then you might not be able to do it.)
Notes: This is a great stoner treat since it combines savory and
sweet along with smooth and crunchy; this is the kind of
interesting combination that is intensified by marijuana.
Make sure that the bowl you use and the spoon you use to stir
with are COMPLETELY DRY. Water, even a drop, will make the
chocolate firm up immediately.
You can use this recipe for dipping anything, strawberries,
fruit wedges, hell, even pickles if that's your bag.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay - from talking to people, there are lots of foods that people crave while stoned, not neccesarily anything you could put a recipe of, but I think we should include them for the sake of completeness.
It could be a "Cool Foods" section or something, think of a good name ...
Thick Thick Milkshake (Circa Rosanne Show, 1991)
Type: Libation
Perp: Quick
Ice Cream (with no chips, or flakes or crackles etc)
Milk
1. Get a tall glass and fill it with ice cream (like 3 scoops maybe).
2. Put in just enough milk to lubricate the ice cream and mash it
down and stir it round until it is loose.
3. Put in more ice cream and a little more milk and stri and stir.
4. Top it off with milk and stir and stir some more.
Notes: Drink, but without a straw ... unless you have a really thick
straw. Add some flavouring too if you like, I suggest a tsp
of peppermint, almond or vanilla extract or a good ounce of
your favorite liqueur. And you may ask, how is this
different from a regular milkshake? Well, you know that
think layer that floats to the top of your everyday
milkshake? This is 100% that layer.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OKay, the drinks section can be Libations, what do you think?
Okay, Feasts for Whole Meals, and Cravings for snacks.
As for prep there should be a sub designation for if you could do it stoned or not ... a smileyface perhaps?

Alana's Wittingly Condescending Spiced Tea
Type: Libation
Prep: Ahead
Ginger root
Cardamom pods
whole cloves
cinnamon stick
Red Rose tea, or as near as you poor Americans can get.
1. You should cut one knob, about the size of the last joint of your
pinky, from the ginger root and peel it. Then score it. Smelling
fresh ginger is part of the delight of making this.
2. Use two to three cardamom pods. Just break them open and throw
them all in the pot.
3. Put in a 2 to 3 inch (5 to 7 cm) stick of cinnamon, and 2 or 3
cloves.
4. So I put in 4 bags of Red Rose. Three or four scoops of leaves.
This is orange pekoe, if you are unfamiliar with Canadian brands.
Pour boiling water over everything. If you are a purist, you
should warm the pot first, (without all of the stuff in it).
5. Let it steep a good, long time. It is best to cover the pot with a
pot warmer to keep it hot. Careful, it is addictive.
Notes: This is measured for our brown betty tea pot, the best
teapot in the world, and the only one worth buying. That is
about four large mugs of tea.

Traditional Tea Service
Type: Libation
Prep: Quick
1 teapot (ceramic or stainless steel and NOTHING ELSE)
3/4 teabags/ 4 tsp of loose tea
some boiling water
some milk (not cream) or lemon
some sugar or honey
For those of you who have only ever had tea in most retaurants, this is how you really make tea.
1. First boil your water.
2. Warm your pot -- this cleans it, opens the pores in the ceramic
and brings it up to temperature without cooling the actual water
for your tea.
3. Put in the tea bags or loose tea .. here is how you know how much:
One for me,
One for thee,
One for the pot,
And one for luck.
4. Pour in your boiling water -- not hot water ..BOILING!!!
5. Stick that baby in a cosy and let it steep for 3-5 minutes. The
longer you let it steep the stronger it will get, but after 5
minutes, it will start to get cool, and you want it hot (unless
you want ice tea, and for that read on).
6. If you want milk, put it in your cups first so it heats up and
mixes through as you pour the tea in, as opposed to being cold
and floating on top.
7. Pour the tea, (through a strainer if it is loose tea, if you want
to read tea leaves, you warm the cup, put the leaves in the
bottom, and pour water over them and let it steep in the cup.
The leaves will stay on the bottom).
8. Sweeten and drink. Add lemon if you want, but only if you havent
added milk, unless you are into curdles.
Notes: Traditional Tea Time is 4:00. The Pot Smoker's Tea Time is
4:20. A true senualist celebrates both. Have tea with
biscuits (cookies for you americans and other aliens) scones
or anything you like.

1 oz AfterShock Cinnamon liqueur

1. Pour a shot of AfterShock.
2. Pour the Crown Royal into a rocks glass over ice. Cover with
Coke.
Notes: Drink 1/3 of the Aftershock, and let it cover your tongue.
Drink some of the other drink ... the tastes will mingle in
such a delightful way. When you loose that cinnamon tingle,
drink some more Aftershock and continue to enjoy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mock Turtle Shot
3/4 oz That Fruit Cream stuff its yummy.
1/4 oz Melon Liqueur
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1. Shake the ingredients together over ice.
2. Pour in shot glass.
3. Spinkle nutmeg and go go go.
