Apple iBook

It comes loaded with several pieces of software, including AppleWorks, a complete business suite.
With 2.5 gigs free on the Hard Drive when it arrives (it comes with MAC OS 8.6 and AppleWorks, plus AOL 4.0!) it has plenty of space for pretty much anything else you might need.
It has the new PowerPC G3 chip and a 56k internal modem. It has a single USB port for connectivity, a single speaker, and a stereo headphone jack. It also comes loaded with EtherNet access.
It also has a 24x MAX CD-ROM drive, but like its iMac cousin, no 3.5 floppy drive. However, an external USB Zip drive is only a bit under $200 bucks at my local CompUSA.
On a more personal note, I especially enjoy the Apple iBook because of its portability. Under 7 pounds, and with a bat. life of about 6 hours at full charge, it will handle a long car ride with ease. It easily runs my (pitifully few :-() Mac games. To anyone looking for a new laptop, I would highly reccomend this system.
