(The Great White Shark Who Played The Blues)
Beneath the sloopy surface of the Murky Mooblum Sea
The creatures of the deep were not as happy as could be
For several millennia they'd listened to the sound
Of several million of themselves, swimming round and round
Occasionally a Coelacanth would sing a little song
But couldn't keep the locals entertained for very long
And nowhere were the shortcomings of fishdom to be felt
More than in the Murky Mooblum Sea along the Fnertoid Belt
Well the mayor of Mooblum wasn't quite as bimbly as supposed
And within a few odd billion years a party was proposed
The likes of which the sub aquatic world had never seen
A super-modern, hyper-futuristic submarine
The best of Mooblumdom was on the guest list for the show
And so was all the worst as well as far as I should know
The Mooblecrabs, The Lobsterboys, The Squidulicious Pig
And Prehistoric Primal Slime all played a blindin' gig
But of all the acts who played there wasn't one who made the news
Like Old Blind Mad Fish Dog the Great White Shark who played the blues
He played The Deep Down Dirty Blues, he played Oh Wave to Me
He played the blues in every key, but mostly played in sea
With super wet vibrato licks and bottleneck techniques
He played a guitar solo that went on for seven weeks
While John Lee Fishhook and the band all did a splendid job
He howled like Howlin' Catfish and he wailed like Whalebone Bob
And so you ask 'was Murky Mooblums boredom problem solved?'
I couldn't say 'cos by the time they'd finished we'd evolved
