If you're ever forced into a potluck that you don't particularly want to go to...
Take a block of spam and cut it into small shapes such as clovers, moons, diamonds, etc. Set these bits into straight food coloring to soak until they adopt the color in which they are immersed.
Get some straight gelatin, no color or flavor and prepare it according to package directions, also adding a chicken boullion cube and some green food coloring. Pour into a mold, and add the bits of spam.
Present it at the potluck as lime gelatin with marshmallow bits
