I realise this is nit-picking (as the French would say, let's not bugger flies about this), but I would feel a whole lot more comfortable if you removed the -ly from "unconscious". I would add "Not now, it can wait", but I think that one's been done.

My original draft was changed in the edit and you're right it should be
subconcious now. Orginal draft was:- Well there you have it -
procrastination. Its that deliberate attempt, sometimes sub-conciously,
to avoid doing something which really HAS to be done but
you really can't be bothered...
