Peterborough, Ontario, Canada

My home towm, and probably the single oddest place in the known universe. Home to Trent University and the Only cafe among other landmarks such as the Canada's largest hydrolic lift-locks, Peterborough is cetered among some odd magnetic points and ley lines that make anyone who has ever passed into its event horizon permanently marked by a special brand of bizarre destiny. For example, if anyone every leaves Peterborough, they will encounter others who have left, almost invariably, and in the most improbable places. Another symptom is that when one is in Peterborough one experiences an almost uncontrolable urge to leave, but if one does manage this feat (and it is quite a feat) the result is an almost uncontrolable urge to go back to Peterborough, go to the Only, and drink the coffee. Many theories have been put forward to explain this phenomenon, most having to do with the composition of the Only's Coffee*.
