1 Conversation

An eccentric 20th century philosopher who believed he was a computer.

In addition to being a philosopher, Smullyan is an author, professor of mathematical logic at Indiana University, and one-time magician.

His best book, The Tao Is Silent, is a series of articles about Taoism, an ancient philosophy/religion which suggests, among other things, that paying attention to one's innate wisdom is a good way of conducting one's affairs.

Other books by Smullyan include First-Order Logic, The Lady or the Tiger?, What Is the Name of This Book?, This Book Needs No Title, and Satan, Cantor, and Infinity.
