I recorded my reaction to my initial exposure to cricket here:

Since then, a group of us here in Houston have been watching a summer cricket series among college student teams, mostly from India and Pakistan. The other spectators have been helping us with explanations, etc., but nothing so thorough as this entry.
I still smile when I remember Brits telling me, "Its very simple ..."
