It is a fact (or so i have heard that one can recieve all one's daily nutritional requirements by drinking
a glass of orange juice and 47 pints of guiness daily. i am yet to try this, myself, however.

The Jester Posted Jul 2, 1999
I've never quite reached the 49 pint stage but I do know that due to copious quantities of Guinness consumed over an extended spell of time, roughly equivalent to about 6 years. I am now what many might describe as a bit of a Fatboy. This however I am pleased to reveal is the only negative point I have discovered about Guinness while experimenting over the last few years.
So all in all a very succesful venture.

i think that i would have to disagree on the fact that the worst pint of guinness is found in england i tried Guinness at many a pub in England, and while it does pale in comparison to St. James Gate , it is a far cry better than some of the pints i have tasted back in the US in fact, the worst ever was at a hotel in downtown Austin, Texas, the name of which escapes me right now

Oh come ooooon, what's the use of sampling awful guinness if
you can't then tell everyone it's name and how good it is so
they'll go stampeding off and you can have the best stuff
all to yourself?
You must remember!
If you don't there's something fishy going on here.

ha!
i like your thinking. come to think of it, it WAS great (wink, wink, nudge, nudge). i believe it was the Four Seasons, in Austin, TX. just outright stale Guinness. and $5 too! where i go now, the draught horse, is much better, and is $1.75/glass (not pint) on mondays
about it adding pounds, i dont believe it. they said that "guinness is good for you," who am i to go against them. Nutritious and delicious, and i want one NOW! unfortunately, they look down on me drinking during working hours (but posting to forums is quite allright )

Hmmm...American Guinness? It's like German "Guinness". Nasty nasty stuff. And the GI's in Germany all drank Guinness from little, tiny, weency glasses that held about 1/2 glass of fluid.
Which was wrong.
