The final word was from a reader pointing out that Cambridge University's New Theatre Society lasted for two years before anyone noticed.

Take a look at the link to the original entry, which is on Geocities, and which is linked from my U-Space. It was called "The Short Guide to Short Words". We missed the Cambridge University New Theatre, but we did get the Cambridge University New Testament Society, and the City University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
There are links on my U-Space to all the threads that the entry generated, or at least to the pages that they hang off, and some of them make fabulous reading. There is a great story about Guy the Gorilla in there, and another episode involving felching.
Thanks for posting. I am probably more proud of the Short Guide, than of any other project I have undertaken here at h2g2, even though it was bowdlerised for the guide itself.
Cheers
Ben
