In the heart of Toronto's Caribbean community is Albert's Real Jamaican Foods. Albert himself comes from a great line of Jamaican chefs and a visit there is a truly an amazing experience. It's probably the best known and most respected Jamaican restaurant in the city. Open late into the night, it's on the corner of St Clair Avenue West and Vaughan Road.

Among the best dishes (which should be chased down with sugar cane juice or a ginger beer) are:

• Curried goat
• Albert's famous Oxtail
