A friend has asked if I knew Latin and what an item on ebay reads. I studied latin for about 2 months at school 20 years ago but remember nothing 
. It isnt easy to read but I think it says:- Domine salvam fag reginam. No doubt no challenge to you experts on here but at least it helped me find this site which I think is great!

Most likely it's:
Domine salvam fac reginam = Lord, save the queen.

I did say to her I thought it said God save the queen! Not bad a guess was it.
