solutio extunde, non excusatio - but both nouns here are in the singular. Not knowing which declensions to use, I can't pluralise them. I'm only a humble and incredibly lazy undergrad. The verb should be the imperative, though. Anyone's welcome to correct me if they know better.

I would suggest:
EXCOGITA SOLUTIONES POTIUS QUAM EXCUSATIONES:"Devise solutions rather than excuses.
Another possibilty would be:
SOLUTIONES EXCUSATIONIBUS PRAEFERENDAE:"Solutions are preferable to excuses."
