You know how in French and Italian and other Latin-derived languages you (well one actaully, but never mind) says "I have 42 years" rather than "I am 42 years old", well, do they say "I have" or "I am" in Latin?
Does anybody know?

I am pretty sure that in Latin, you have X years. This is an idiomatic phrase. I hope this helps.
