Remoska Usage
Created | Updated Aug 19, 2007
I don't have a cooker, mainly for reasons of space. I had seen on the net good things about the Remoska. I went and bought one. No one who knows me would consider me a cook.
This entry will be a history of my usage.
Day 1
Put a pork chop in. Switched on, left for 35 minutes. It was edible.
Day 2
Pork chop again. Added frozen oven chips around the chop. Switched on left for 35 minutes (if was the right time yesterday it should work today. Chop good, chips cooked but soggy.
Day 3
Chicken today. Largish portion without bone. Created a kitchen foil open container for the chicken piece. Placed in base. Added frozen chips around it. Left for 35 minutes. Chips just right as was the chicken.
Day 4
Almost the same as yesterday. Added a little butter, salt and pepper to the kitchen foil container. Its now cooking. Didn't turn out too bad. Some of the chips weren't browned.
Day 5
Chicken again. Added a couple of bacon slices and a little soy sauce. Few more chips than yesterday. Since there is more food than previous days I plan on letting it cook for longer. I shall try 40 minutes. That worked out alright. I accidentally had it cooking for 45 minutes.
Day 6 (18 August 2007)
Chicken again. Bit more soy sauce and left it for half an hour before starting cooking. Also using small new potatoes. Some I've cut into little bits, one just cut in half. Should be done by now. That didn't turn out well. For some reason the chicken stuck to the kitchen foil. The larger potato pieces weren't good. Wonder what went wrong? Think I'll try peeling the potatoes tomorrow. And use more butter but less soy sauce.
Day 7
Went for chicken in center, no foil, little bit of salt and pepper, a few peeled new potatoes, cut into various sizes. I want to find out if different sizes has an affect.
