I've just come across your entry http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A553727 on nail polish / varnish. I'm a nail polish wearer myself, and I think it'd form the basis for a great collaborative Edited Entry. As a Scout it's my job to collect the best entries together from the Guide and to put them into the Writing Workshop (at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/Writing-Workshop) so they can be polished off and put into the Edited Guide. I'd love to put yours forward.

If you're still working on this entry, could you let me know as soon as possible, so I can hold off until the entry is ready? If I don't hear from you in a week, I'll assume that it's OK to recommend your entry for inclusion in the Edited Guide.

Sorry not to have replied before. I'm a bit busy at the moment so I don't always remember to check in on my Guide conversations.

Yes, I'd love to collaborate on an entry about polish. Do you have any particular suggestions for things to add or amend?

Well, I think there'll hopefully be a lot of constructive comments from the workshop - we'll have to see what people say...

For example, I'm told that chipping off nail polish is bad for your nails, so you should always use remover instead. There are a bunch of tips people suggest for nail polish - keeping the polish in the fridge to stop it seperating, dunking nails in cold water to dry them fast - that kinda thing.

Oh yeah - and there's all those fancy nail effects - french manicures, that kinda thing - so many options!
