Hello, good %greeting_time% and welcome
Hi,
My name's Phil Alexander - the philbo baggins handle was first applied twenty years ago at school and it kind of stuck. I don't really know why, as I'm not particularly hobbit-like: hairy feet (no), obsessively tidy (Definitely not!), a dislike of discomfort and adventure (no, yet again). But then, I guess people called "Tiny" are more likely to be big? Look at Little John, for example (though I've often thought that Robin Hood knew something we don't)
A programmer by trade, and father of four for the rest of the time (except for the bits where I'm sleeping, except for the bits where I'm not. If you see what I mean), I'm currently much to busy to witter on about me for some homepage which is not going to be read by anyone - what do you mean it _is_ being read? By me? Don't you think that's being just a little bit too pedantic? Who are you arguing with anyway?
<fx: takes a deep breath and a long swig of coffee>
Maybe I'd better quit writing this now while I'm ahead. Ahead of who? Don't you start again
<more fx: men in white coats trying to break the door down>
Hmmm... drop me a line if you're a (cheap) psychiatrist
Phil

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
