I've read through and have a question - "sound like a native (LOL!)"
What is the LOL here? Should it be deleted?

I'd forgotten that was there. I put that in while I was writing it because it's funny that anybody could ever think they could sound like a native. Perhaps change it to "sound (even vaguely) like a native" or whatever you think best.

I've made just one mistake that I can see:
Chinese does not string consonants together
should be
Mandarin does not string consonants together
Other than that it's good to go.
