Amber Jewellery

Contrary to popular opinion, trees, when cut, do bleed. Their blood is clear and yellowish, and hardens quickly when exposed to air. Occasionally, an unsuspecting insect, who was happily sitting on the tree when it started bleeding, is caught in the flow and therefore rendered incapable of flight. The blood hardens forming a transparent coffin.

There has been a recent growing fascination in the world of fashion with jewellery crafted from these morbid little articles, which are usually purchased by people for whom taste is an optional affair.
