"This doesn't look good" said Max Quordlepleen as the enormous, bowel-clenchingly beweaponed battle cruiser shimmered into view outside the viewing dome of the Big Bang Burger Bar. Max was used to dealing with hecklers. This was something altogether different.
All the wine glasses in the bar suddenly started resonating with a perfect C-sharp note. Then, the clear tone modulated into quite a different waveform - that of a deep, commanding voice.
"OK, folks. You've had your fun. As the duly deputised legal representative of Megadodo Publications (Catering division) I am hereby authorised to shut down your operation forthwith. With force."
Max cleared his throat and prepared to launch a witty riposte - which he assumed would lead into a sparkling back-and-forth dialogue with crushing rejoinders, fruity metaphors and inappropriate punctuation - when the weapons of the cruiser flared into incandescent fury, and the whole of the Big Bang Burger Bar was vapourised from existence.
All existences.
