Dante

Famous Earth author of the 1300's. He also has a last name, which is Alighieri. Most people think his book, The Divine Comedy, is a medieval allegory about Dante's religious beliefs. Well, its not. Acutally, The Divine Comedy is all about Dante's complaints about his life. He was exiled from Florence by corrupt politicians, and hated the corruption of Church because he didn't get anything out of it. Consequently, The Divine Comedy is one man's complaint about his life. At least, that's my interpretation. To see other's, check out an index of some of the scholarly earth pages concerning Dante's "masterpiece".
