I've been avoiding replying to this in case you asked me about my own Guide entry; but I can talk here with a clear conscience now.
I've been wondering for ages how to play that game. I used to have this friend who ran a Chinese restaurant, and sometimes I'd wander in to find him sitting round a table with a bunch of his Chinese mates, playing Mah-Jongg. They were always terribly serious when they were playing, and never inclined to show me how. I guess they were betting high stakes.
Looking at your rules made my head spin, but I'm sure it'll be clearer if I try actually playing it. It looks right up Gothly's street.

Edward the Bonobo - Gone. Posted Jul 26, 2005
My son and I were taught how to play A666209 at a mediaeval fair this weekend. It's simple, but deceptively engrossing. But not half as much fun to watch as horseback jousting in full armour.

I've always loved to play Mühle, only stopped it when my son started to win
Haven't played Mah Jongg for ages, could be an idea to do so when I visit my sister in two weeks

Whats Muhle?
I used to play Nine Mens Morris when I was a kid but I can't remember it now.

Thsat's probably because somewhere deep in our subconsciousness we refuse to remember the important things

I think my subconscious has its own idea of whats important and it isn't the same as what my conscious rational (hopefully) mind thinks it is

I have a draw full of "important" stuff.
Maybe once a year i go through it saying, 'I was wondering where that was' and chuck most of it out
One of my neighbours stuffed all my post that has been collecting downstairs under my door today. Well I expect its all just junkmail anyway. Can't be more than a months worth

Hah, you're lucky - I have three drawers like that
The moment I REALLY need something, I tend to panic, cause you can bet I can't find it

When i was going to Galway came the time to find my passport
Couldn't find it in my "important" drawer
Not too worried yet
Remembered I had it last at my mothers
Next time I'm there check the bureau, the safe, and the secret drawer (can tell the person to own the house before my parents was a jeweller can't you )
Nowhere to be found
Start getting worried
Back home empty the drawer out on the floor
Passport nowhere to be found
Start panicking
Next time at mothers check safe again
Finally find it right at the bottom
Panic over

I sometimes wake with a start, remembering some important things I should do and you can bet I can't get back to sleep then
I really should try to be better organised
