Wouldn't it be nice if someone invented a Chameleon skin handbag so that women could buy just one handbag that would match all of their outfits. The only problem might be that it would be difficult to find when going out.

Why not?

Well for starters it would mean that you would never get to go shopping for a new bag again. Ok so you might hate shopping but then we have the problem of the shape of the bag - colour is one thing. But shape and spatial capacity are completely different. A casual night out and you are hardly going to take a formal style of bag. Equally an old rucksack might look out of place at a formal evening do.

I guess you must be a lot more fashion concious than I am.
I think I have 3 handbags to my name.
Usually I tend to have a small black suede bag. When it falls apart a get another one!!!!!
This covers a number of occasions. It can be used for work or on a night out.
I vowed I wouldn't have a 'big' I mean 'sack' type bag ever again after having my daughter. When I didn't have to carry the kitchen sink around with me anymore I resorted to usiing the tiniest bag I could find.
I think big handbags just tend to store more junk and rubbish.

no i think I just have an obsession with them - can't get enough of them. Do not know where it comes from or why. So in fact I admire you a lot - cos Rickshaw's suggestion sends shivers of fear down my spine. And you are absolutely right about big bags and rubbish - they just fill with the stuff and then it is too much effort to clean them out.
