I've just received an automated e-mail from Ticketmaster with the subject header "Don't miss Simple Minds!"
I don't know how they do it, but they're absolutely correct. I don't miss Simple Minds. Not one bit.

Perhaps they're hoping that one of their tickets will end up in the hands of a professional hitman?

And to think they went to all that trouble to make sure you wouldn't forget about them. They promised you a miracle, but they're still alive and kicking. Etc.

Alive And Kicking.
They did a covers album? And it's worse than Thank You? My God! What songs did they do?

I seem to remember their version of Van Morrison's "Gloria" as being particularly horrendous.

I'm adding that to my 'Goals in Life' - never to hear Simple Minds' cover of 'The Needle and the Damage Done'

I'm trying hard to avoid imagining how ghastly that album must be.

Ah yeah good point. Maybe individuals who spend a lot of time with him should be tarred with the same brush.

I don't know. Why *do* you feel you've been >> stuck in detention all day on a saturday with a bunch of neo maxi zoom dweebies? <<
I'm not even sure what that means, but I feel a punchline coming on...
