As your official "High Life" buddy i have to say it and I know you will hear the two voices AND the accents
"Ohhh, Dearie Me!"
And then as ya walked past wifie and neighbour, The "under the breath" comments by sebastian and steve.
"fat bum" (sebastian)
"saggy" (steve)
You know you can hear Sebastian and Steve saying that kinda thing, can't ya? Where the Hell were Shona, Capt Duff and Shuggy McGurk when ya needed them?

Oh dear
I fully sympathise with the situation though as the lock broke on the shower cubicle at uni and it took some time to be rescued. Fortunately I'd followed Hitchhiker's advice and had my towel with me

Air, you watching BBBC2? Article about talking Scots? Lots of people arguing that Scots should be the first language used in school, with English being the second.
"It's wrong to take 5 years of this first language away from these bairns and force them to use English" Only she said it in Scots. That way the kids can be multilingual.

Didn't see that programme was on Mike, was it just Scottish dialect they were on about, or the Gaelic?
*Makes sure Mrs. A is not about*
From my experience of our friends from the North their most commonly used expression is "Ferring bazza"

no, no, it was on the Scots Language. The one of Burns and the like. And the one that apparently all children under the age of 5 in Scotland speak.

Good show Princess What have you been at?
I know what you mean Mike i think. The kids up there do have a language all of their own, old Scots words mixed with new slang. It's difficult to see how they shouldn't be taught English first though.
