Baron Grim

Hmm... I haven't seen that one. From the plot summary and reviews on IMDb it seems like a departure for him. Oh, and G rated. Definitely a departure for Lynch.

Recumbentman

It was a great film and a great story, culminating in a scene of gruff reconciliation between two elderly brothers. The music was good enough to inspire Mrs R to buy the CD, a thing she rarely does. Listened to it on and off for years.

And yes, it was the church association that sparked my instant organ reaction. Waiting before a service while the organist noodled aimlessly. smiley - yawn

Hmm, I see your point smiley - zzz

Nevertheless, I'm really fond of organ concerti -- Handel, Arne, Haydn. After them, there was Saint-Saens' Organ symphony. Eventually, people like Stokowski started turning organ classics into symphonic works, losing the original flavor. smiley - sadface

Many years ago I wrote some duets for organ and trumpet.
