There is nothing particularly sinister about my statement that I will be offline for a while.

I am frighteningly busy at work at the moment, and therefore am cutting down on frills, which unfortunately means less time online, less time with my friends, and less time on other 'non-essentials' like fun.

I tend to do 'big-block' time. So a month or three of highly intense work is a piece of cake so long as it is followed by a month or how-ever long it takes for me to get a new contract.

My life is balanced like a pendulum is balanced, not balanced like a set of scales is balanced.

That said, I know that just now I am working too hard, doing too much, not being myself enough, and not enjoying the sunshine. But I also know I can do it for the four remaining weeks of the project, and that I can do the opposite, in spades, in July. (I am so good at pacing myself it scares me sometimes).
