That's it. I'm packed. I now return to my homeland of Wales for five weeks of rain, pubs and sheep. This means that I won't have access to the Guide for some time but I look upon this not as something negative but as an opportunity for me to do some research.

There must surely be a plethora of Guide entries in potentia about the old Celtic land and with very little to do for the next five weeks it could just be me that writes them...

Hiya, as U can see from my name Im off to Bangor in a few weeks so I thought you could maybe clear a few things up 4 me

Does it rain for years in wales?

Are the sheep scarey?

Sorry about the references to sheep but I've had enough of trying to explain where Bangor is to people so I thought a wee pointer would clear things up!!

hmmmm.... im not that talkative today so I'll leave U 4 now!!

Hi! Lucky you - Wales is great! Although the rain as you say can sometimes be a pain. It doesn't rain for years but it's rainy more than sunny.

The Welsh aren't really sexually aroused by beasts, no more than any other country anyway. It's just a ridiculus rumour spread by the English because there happen to be a lot of sheep there. In truth there are probably more sheep in England than Wales!

The only thing which concerns me is that you're going to north Wales, which tends to be a bit...desperate. But you'll have the scenery so it ain't so bad.

So where are you from? How did you decide to go to Bangor?

I'm from about as South as you can get without jumping in the sea!! think 3 miles up from the Isle of Wight and thats about my home!!

I chose Bangor because:

a) Its near Ireland!!

b) Its away from dull old Hampshire!!

c) Due to the remoteness they didnt ask 4 as much as some of the other unis!!

d) ummm...... nope thats about it!! Oh it did look nice in the pictures, I've never been there U see!!

Where In Wales R U from then? My Aunt & Uncle were some of those "horrid" English people (As the welsh love to put it) living near Fishguard and My Friend at school hailed from there too.

Well most of the time I live in Dubai. So yeah, I do need a passport to get back into Wales. I'm from south Wales Roachee, a town called Aberdare. It's cold there.
