Seven years ago today I joined h2g2, yesterday I graduated with a degree in Chemistry and today I move into a new house.

I wish someone would give *me* a house for graduating.
Congrats! Bask in the glory of being a graduate. Ignore the hungry sharks gathered outside your new windows. They aren't really after you particularly.

It's not *my* house! I'm renting with some friends, which so far is a lot more fun than living in student accommodation. One day we might even have an internet connection.

*Hastily hides the new Harry Potter book*
I'm doing some preparation work for the PhD that (fingers crossed) I'll be starting in October. It's quite good fun, actually. I'm constantly amazed at all the hefty bits of equipment, with all their bolts and grease, that I'll be using to look at objects a billionth of a metre long.
